All Natural Farms

A family-run farm nestled in the mountains of North Carolina, producing pasture-raised meats with no antibiotics or hormones.

Meat. The Natural Way.

A breathtaking family farm in Rutherfordton, North Carolina

All Natural Farms is owned by a third-generation family farmer who knew exactly what she wanted when she began a few years ago. She wanted the best beef, chicken and lamb possible to feed her family. What she has created are the best available, naturally grown, pasture-raised, grass-fed meats available. She has definitely achieved her goal. Now, there is a surplus of supply; ANF produces more meat than they can eat, so they have decided to make their personal stock available to you, the consumer. If you are a conscious-minded individual who wants to know you are getting the best available product for your family, you are in the right place.

We also carry and can special order halal beef, chicken, lamb, and goat. Please contact us for availability.

Charlotte's source for pasture-raised meat.

For our sheep, we chose the Romney breed. The Romney is an excellent dual-purpose sheep. They are used to produce incredible high-quality wool, as well as a phenomenal meat. Romney sheep are prized for their tender, flavorful meat. These sheep are ideal for our farm because they thrive on a grass-fed, natural diet. In addition to meat, we also sell wool at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market. Their soft wool is gently sheared and cleaned right on the farm.

Scottish Highland Cattle are excellent grazers with long fur to keep them warm and dry. As such, their meat is very low cholesterol and low fat, since their bodies have no need of excessive fat for warmth and insulation. Conversely, they have a very high protein and high iron content. Their meat is the healthiest beef our research could find, so that was the breed ANF began to cultivate. All of their cows are registered and named; each piece can be traced back to it's ancestry through the Herd Book of The American Scottish Highland Association.

“I drive all the way to Charlotte just to get my meat from All Natural Farms every week. What they have in stock decides my menu for the week. I believe in their method this much. Just know[ing] where I get the meat from that my family eats, [knowing] how its raised and the care that goes into it…that’s the most important thing to me.”

“What wonderful people. The products are great; but I love seeing Lee at the Charlotte Regional Farmer’s Market every Friday. He doesn’t mind my questions and answers them all. The girls talk to my daughter while I decide what to get this week. It’s perfect.”

The best meats in the Carolinas

All Natural Farms has researched extensively to find the best breeds for our family. They studied the best ways to raise them without hormones or antibiotics, without exposure to chemicals, humanely raising happy animals that produce the best quality meats for their family. All Natural Farms even investigated the best ways to finish our meat and what butchering methods provided the best quality cuts. Every decision is carefully considered and designed to produce the best quality meat available, for our family and yours.

Why No Antibiotics or Hormones?

We are determined to never give any of our animals antibiotics or hormones. We don't need chemicals. We need nature-- just natural foods the way God intended them to be for our bodies.

No hormones or steroids are used in any of our meat production. No antibiotics are administered to our animals either. We choose hardy breeds that are naturally not prone to the diseases that other breeds are prone to. We choose breeds that have a tendency to birth well without assistance for this reason also; there are less chances to regret that we do not want to use antibiotics and chemicals if the animals are hardy and strong.

Why Grass-Fed Animals?

We strongly believe in pasture raising our animals and only feeding them a grass-fed diet until just before butchering. Research strongly supports the belief that grass-fed animals produce the healthiest meats for us to consume.

Grass-fed meats are higher in Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Vitamin E, CLA, and have a lower fat content than other meats. Grass-fed meat is also an excellent source of high-quality protein, iron, zinc, selenium, and phosphorus. Pasture-raised animals are lower in calories and taste better, making it a win-win!
